A defence components supplier in Norway starts with one structural advantage: a traceable European supply chain, which is exactly what the segment is now asking for. We have no defence references today. This page sets out what we have and what is missing.

Hvorfor støping
Defence volumes are often too large for machining from billet and too small for a large foreign foundry to bother setting up. That is precisely the window a small Norwegian component manufacturer lives in — and the tool stays in Norway.
What the industry needs
Brackets and mounts for equipment installation, housings and enclosures for portable and vehicle-mounted electronics, fittings for carrying systems and container equipment, and parts for ground support equipment. Typically small to medium series in aluminium or zinc, often with a service life extending far beyond the delivery itself.
What makes the requirements special
Traceability is the product. In defence supply it is not enough for the part to be correct. It must be documented which melt it came from, which tool it was cast in, which batch it belonged to and who inspected it. This is a systems delivery as much as a parts delivery.
Origin. The requirement for a European and national supply chain has tightened considerably. A part cast in Rade from remelted metal from Toten has an origin story that fits on one line. A part bought through three intermediaries does not.
Configuration control. Once the part is approved, neither geometry, alloy nor process may change without notice. That is a discipline, not a technology. For a small supplier it is in fact easier than for a large one: few hands are involved and there is no anonymous production line.
Confidentiality. We anonymise every product example on this site, including the entirely harmless ones. That is not an accident, it is a principle. The customer geometry belongs to the customer.
Why we fit
- One address, one country. Everything from melting to machining happens at Torvstikkeren 20 in Rade. The part crosses no border on the way.
- The volume window. Series too small for a large foreign foundry are not too small for us.
- The customer owns the tool, and it stays in Norway for as long as the series lives.
- A voluntary Code of Conduct with an ILO reference and requirements passed down our own supply chain. We fall below the thresholds of the Norwegian Transparency Act but publish the requirements anyway.
What is missing — read this first
We have no ISO 9001. We have no security clearance and no supplier approval with defence primes today. We have no defence references to show either.
That is a real barrier and we do not pretend otherwise. For many buyers in this segment, certification is a filter applied before evaluation, not a criterion within it — and then it does not matter how good the part is.
